The Saturday Meditation program with H.E. Zimwock Tulku Rinpoche
Saturday morning practices have undergone a transformation !
On Saturday Morning from 10am – 12 pm (commencing 5 June 2010), a regular weekly meditation session guided by our own resident teacher.
10am – 11am: Calm Abiding Meditation (based on Nagarjuna and Shantideva)
11am - 12am: Sadhana Practise (as appropriate for those in attendance).
This is a good occasion for both experienced and new students to get inspiration, direction and rejuvenation in their own personal meditation practice.
New comers and beginners are welcome to attend the Calm Abiding Meditation. Rinpoche will be using traditional Mahayana Meditation methods based on the historical teachings of Nagarjuna (200 AD) and Shantideva (700 AD), and will provide the methods to apply and understand meditation as it was historically practiced during the era of these great Buddhist scholars. This traditional form of Meditation provides the historical foundation for Mahayana Buddhist Meditation methods as they have been practised for over 1000 years, and gives the methods and context from which the current popular “Calm Abiding Meditation” methods have developed.
Join His Eminence Zimwock Tulku Rinpoche on Saturday mornings as he leads both Calm Abiding Meditation and subsequent Sadhana practices
