About the retreat
This residential retreat starts at 7pm Thursday March 4 and concludes at 1pm Monday March 8 2009 (Labour Day
Long Weekend). Set in the beautiful Snowy River countryside, accommodation is in modern rooms with up to 6 beds.The retreat is fully catered with vegetarian food. (Special dietary needs can also be met). The teachings are very accessible,accommodating the needs of both beginning and advanced meditators.

 




About Calm Abiding Meditation
Calm Abiding Meditation (sometimes known as Shamatha Meditation or Single Pointed Concentration) is a simple, yet profound technique for increasing clarity of mind and the stability of attention. Calm Abiding Meditation trains the meditator to rest their attention on a meditation object, such as the breath.

Lama Choedak Rinpoche
Lama Choedak Rinpoche is one of the few Tibetan Meditation Masters living in Australia. With twelve years of rigorous monastic training and many years teaching in the West, he has a special interest in making traditional Buddhist teachings more accessible to Westerners. He is the founder of the Rongton Buddhist Training College and the Spiritual Director of Buddhist Centres around Australia, where he teaches regularly.

Thank you so much for your support and of course for organising such a wonderful retreat.  It truly was life changing.  I feel absolutely wonderful!

I look forward to seeing you and everyone from Jamchen again very soon.
